Chesapeake Blues • Acrylic on Linen • 5x7 • 2024 • On my way to a crab feast tonight
Sleeper's Lillies • Oil on Canvas • 18x24 • 2023 • A local family generously invites people to paint on their property. The acres of waterlilies when in bloom is spectacular. I loved how the sky was reflected so clearly towards the bottom of the image.
Sailing Detail #1 • Acrylic on Canvas • 5x5 • 2024 •
Sunflower Man's old truck
Finally • Oil on Canvas • 12x24 • 2024 • My brother commissioned me to do a painting with a mandolin and guitar years ago. I did a very surreal painting which he never really liked. So I decided to make up for it and include his favorite artists
Whazzup Ladies • Another palette cleanser painting. Done in a few hours, but it was fun to paint something staring back at me. This bird had so much personality! Raffled off in 2023.
Koi • Oil on linen • 9x12 • Who doesn't love Koi. From Mike Horan's photo - Thanks Mike!
Michael's Dog • Oil on Canvas • 10x10 • 2023 • Mike Iandolo challenged me to paint a dog for Waterfowl Festival
Dog Study • Oil on Linen • It's Waterfowl Season again
Angry Bird • Sometimes you need a palette cleanser, as it were. When I get frustrated with a painting, I grab a canvas and quickly paint something silly. So a classically formal painting of a rooster fit the bill.
Dulin's • Rural houses on the Eastern shore did not have street addresses until recently. Houses had/have names instead. When I needed to overnight something down here, in the address form, instructions were to go to Dulin's on 33 and ask where to find the house. Dulin's was a great place for gas, gossip, and scrapple. Sadly, Dulin passed and the property was torn down in 2004.
Wolf Moon • Acrylic on Canvas • 10x20 • 2021 • The sky over my head one night in January. I snapped the pic with my phone and painted it the next day. What I didn't realize until I was finished was that the pink glow in the lower left was actually my finger over the lens when I snapped the pic. But I love that hit of color.
Howdy • Little homage to Arnold Ziffle and Green Acres. Nothing like a pig cleanser for the soul.
